United-States-iens

So I'm at work right? And as there is little to do before noon in my office on the days we aren't dealing with porches that have hit bridges (trueish story), so I get online and read the news.
I read some about the Olympic torch being extinguished in Paris a couple times (actually not completely, they kept some of the flame going in a spirit lamp like they do every year just in case), then I continued on that line and read about the Tibetan protests of China, then to my own surprise because frankly I don't care all that much, I read some on the topic of Mr. Barack Obama.

Now really, as a Canadian, and as a politically apathetic one at that, weather or not Mr. Obama wins the election to become the first Black president of the United States of America, is pretty irrelevant to my every day life. Yes I know that if we continued to have bushy pants down (or an approximation of him) there for another term we'd probably end up fighting a war against them because of how many of us here smoke the may-jay, or because we wont sell them our water. something ridiculous with a terrorist harboring cover story to get the indoctrinated nation to follow along. (sorry guys but I'm a skeptic by nature, I really do love you all as individuals)

But anyway! Obama's publicity people are doing a damn fine job for him, there is a story on the International herald Tribune's web site Link Here that goes on about how so many young people are coercing their parents to vote democratic! well done! The thing that gets me giggling is that there are quite a few Obama and Clinton pages on Facebook, but there aren't very many, if any, McCain fan pages.....is this telling us something about the youth populations ideas? maybe. But then, who didn't go to high school with someone who later went on to fight in Irak (ear-ak) or Afghanistan (af-g-ah-n-is-stan)?
OK I know most United-States-iens can now pronounce the country's name. jk! And I know I sound like a huge reactionary ass. But I love you all. By yourselves.
